Pam is a Leader: Pam learned to lead as an officer in the U.S. Army Field Artillery. She brings those leadership skills to your Property Appraiser's office where she has served as the senior manager for 16 years, supervising 140 staff in 5 offices as they prepare over 485,000 appraisals and 325,000 exemptions every year. She is also a graduate of Leadership Pinellas.
Pam is a Computer Systems Professional: The Property Appraiser manages and maintains one of the largest real estate databases in Pinellas County. Pam began her career in the Appraiser's office as the Director of Data Processing. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems. She led the effort to introduce new technologies that make the office more efficient and more accessible.
Pam is a Property Tax Law Expert: The Property Appraiser is responsible for explaining and applying Florida's complex property tax laws. Pam earned a law degree from Stetson University College of Law that she uses each day in the Property Appraiser's office to assist property owners who have questions about their exemptions, assessments, Save-Our-Homes benefits, and new legislation affecting Florida's property tax system. She taught Local Government Law, including property tax subject matter, as an Adjunct Professor at Stetson University College of Law.
Pam is a Member of Our Community: Pam has been married for twenty-six years to retired Lt. Colonel Bruce J. Dubov, and has three step-children and eight grandchildren. Pam has been active in our community while serving on the Board of Managers of the Clearwater YMCA, as a mentor in various Pinellas County School programs, and as a Rotarian. Pam and Bruce have made the Tampa Bay area their home for the past 22 years following Bruce's retirement from the U.S. Army. They reside in the East Lake area of Pinellas County.
